My favourite recipe for healthy hair
This month I've decided to share one of my favourite hair recipes with you!
Hair is primarily made up of a protein called keratin. Ensuring you have enough protein in your diet is crucial for making your hair strong and healthy. Extremely low protein diets may result in restricted hair growth and even hair loss. Choose chicken, turkey, fish, dairy products, eggs, legumes and nuts as excellent sources of protein.
If you need to get some more protein and iron in your diet, try my favourite smoothie recipe:
200ml milk - almond, rice or regular for a hit of B12.
Half an avocado – for protein and essential fatty acids.
A handful of spinach – packed with iron and magnesium to help keep the nervous system steady and ease any hair loss worries!
A handful of mixed nuts or seeds – essential fatty acids and protein for good hair growth.
A few pieces of kiwi fruit – rich in vitamin C to help boost collagen production and hair condition.
A tablespoon of Greek yogurt - to help with vitamin B12 levels.
It might only be October, but it's time to get planning for Christmas! I'm booking up fast, so make sure you hair your appointment ready for the party season and any special occasions you have coming up.
I will look forward to seeing you all again soon in my chair and hearing about what else you have been up to.
