What an Unforgettable Experience!

I had the absolute honour of heading up hair for an incredible lineup of powerhouse women at So Hot Right Now, an event featuring international speakers, Australian experts, and female leaders—all coming together to spark an important conversation. Hosted by the brilliant Shelley Horton, this event took place at the iconic Sydney Opera House and was dedicated to breaking the silence around menopause, a topic that affects 51% of the population yet is often overlooked. Understanding the impact of this event, I reached out to Joico as my product supplier, and they generously supported me with 300 products for VIP goodie bags, gift packs for all the experts, and not one, but three amazing assistants to help on the day!

My day started bright and early at 4 AM, with an Uber pickup at 5 AM and set up at The Langham by 5:30 AM. I worked alongside three talented makeup artists to get the speakers ready before their transfer to the Opera House for rehearsals. With the event being live-streamed Worldwide , Richard from Joico and I navigated the backstage corridors, ensuring every expert looked flawless for filming and photos before stepping onto the stage.

As a special bonus, I was gifted two tickets to watch the event, and the energy in the audience was truly electric! Being part of such a well-organized and professional production, alongside the talented Opera House staff, makeup artists, and my incredible assistants, was an experience I will never forget.

Session work like this is a fantastic creative extension of my work in the salon, and moments like these remind me why I love what I do.
